Abstract

The article describes a clinical case of development of ischemic stroke in the carotid and vertebrobasilar basin associated with nonspecific aortoarteritis (Takayasu disease). The diagnosis is confirmed by magnetic resonance imaging and transcerebral angiography. This case demonstrates the necessity for close cooperation of a neurologist and a rheumatologist in the management of patients with systemic vasculitis, in particular with nonspecific aortoarteritis.
