Abstract

Analyze the clinical-epidemiological aspects and outcomes of the organ and tissue donation process for transplants. Prospective cohort study, whose sample consisted of 127 eligible donors, most of them men, with low education, and at least one comorbidity. There was a statistical association between the age group of 60 years and over and the largest number of donors; the family approach on the same day of brain death diagnosis was associated with a greater chance of donating. The organ donation process is time-dependent, the agility used in management and care dynamics positively reflects the results.
