Abstract

Rationale: Although nasogastric (NG) tube feeding is an effective modality of short-term enteral nutrition administration in patients with acute cerebrovascular accidents (CVA), it is important to adhere to safe feeding practices to prevent potential adverse effects. This clinical audit is based on assessing NG feeding technique in a tertiary care hospital in Kandy, Sri Lanka among patients with acute CVA with the standard of ASPEN Safe Practices for Enteral Nutrition Therapy consensus recommendation 2017.
