Abstract
Arterial spin labeling (ASL) is a noninvasive magnetic resonance perfusion imaging method for visualizing and quantifying whole-brain perfusion, and does not require to use exogenous contrast agents. In patients with ischemic cerebrovascular disease, ASL MR-showed perfusion and cerebrovascular reactivity can help assess the hemodynamic dysfunction for monitoring clinical manifestations and disease evolution, so as to guide the medicinal and surgical treatment. This paper reviewed ASL technology and its application in cerebrovascular disease to guide the clinical treatment. Key words: Magnetic resonance imaging; Arterial spin labeling; Brain ischemia
