Abstract

Objective This study was conducted to explore the effects of evidence-based nursing in the prevention for pulmonary infection of stroke patients.Methods One hundred and thirty patients with stroke were randomly allocated to a control group (60 patients) and an experimental group (70 patients).Patients in the control group were cared with traditional routine care methods,while the patients in the experimental group were treated with evidence-based nursing.Results The rate of pulmonary infection in the experimental group was only 12.86%,which was lower than that of the control group (38.33%),with statistical significant difference (P < 0.05).Conclusion The use of evidence-based nursing for patients with stroke can effectively reduce the incidence of pulmonary infection,shorten the length of stay,reduce the financial burden of patients,improve their quality of life,and has a positive role of clinical guidance.
