Abstract

Ultrasound-guided core needle biopsy is the standard diagnostic tool for suspicious breast lesions. This method is an invasive procedure that obtains breast tissue by penetrating suspicious breast lesions directly under local anesthesia. To perform this procedure accurately and safely, understanding core biopsy devices and the anatomy of the breast and chest wall is necessary. Complications should be avoided to enhance patient safety.
