Abstract
This presentation is to illustrate by typical examples the clinical evaluation of masking, recruitment, and adaptation. Masking Our experience with white-noise, narrow-band, and pure-tone masking indicates that of these, narrow-band masking is the most efficient. Narrow-band noise produces about 10 db. more masking effect than white noise at equal over-all intensity levels.
