Abstract

Objective To explore the method of gastric tube placement in patients with severe visual difficulties. Methods A total of 100 patients with difficult gastric tube placement were selected as the observation group, and retrospectively analyzed 100 patients with difficult gastric tube placement were selected as the control group. The two groups of patients were placed into the gastric tube using different methods. The patients in the observation group were given homemade guide device under open vision, and the patients in the control group were given direct intubation under larygoscope.By comparing the success rate of disposable catheterization, catheterization time, incidence of adverse reactions, changes in hemodynamics, and family members' satisfaction with catheterization in the two groups of patients, the reasonable catheterization method of difficult gastric catheterization in critically ill patients was discussed. Results The success rate of one-time catheterization in the observation group was higher than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05). The incidence of adverse reactions in the observation group was lower than that of the control group, and the catheterization time was less than that of the control group. Conclusion The success rate of home-made catheterization is high, which can shorten the time of catheterization, reduce the incidence of complications and adverse reactions. It is suitable for difficult gastric tube placement. Key words: Insertion of gastric tube; Difficult gastric tube placement; Homemade guide laryngoscope; Laryngoscopy bright; Tongue falling
