Abstract

2022 has proved to be yet another exciting year for Clinical & Experimental Immunology, with new projects and review series coming to fruition, a growing Editorial Board and a new publishing partner. January saw the first issue published in partnership with our new publisher, Oxford University Press, and gave us a chance to relaunch Clinical & Experimental Immunology with a new website, cover, and logo, allowing us to reflect the dynamic and cutting-edge research we publish. The new branding also ties into the growing portfolio of the British Society for Immunology (BSI) journals, with Immunotherapy Advances [1] launched in 2020 and Discovery Immunology joining the BSI portfolio last year [2]. Our close work with the Editors-in-Chief of our sibling journals, Professors Simon Milling and Tim Elliott, has allowed the three journals to thrive as a family. In June we received the exciting news that CEI had received its highest-ever impact factor of 5.732, based on an increasing number of citations to articles published in the last couple of years. We have also seen growing attention to our articles through social media, blogs, and from news outlets. This is monitored through altmetrics, giving articles a score based on the attention they have received from various sources. Our growing number of citations, downloads, and mentions demonstrate the importance and impact of our journal’s content within the research community. We strive to ensure that the articles published in CEI showcase the best of immunology, raising visibility and actively engaging with our readers and the research community.
