Abstract

In recent years, the incidence of acute respiratory viral diseases (ARVI) in Russia has increased significantly. The Arkhangelsk region is a territory where the incidence of SARS is also increasing. Having considered the data for the last five years, at first there was a decrease in the incidence in 2018– 2019 in the Arkhangelsk region, namely, the incidence of SARS per 100 thousand population in 2018 amounted to 36,211.0, and in 2019–33,275.8. So, in comparison with 2018. The incidence of SARS decreased by 8.1 %, while the incidence increased over the next three years, namely SARS in 2020. This figure was 38,681.9, in 2021–44,643.2, and in 2022–46,566.1. In comparison with the previous year, the incidence of SARS in 2022 increased by 4.3 %. The incidence of SARS in the Arkhangelsk region is 1.6 times higher than in the Russian Federation (28,797.29). According to the state report «On the state of sanitary and epidemiological welfare of the population in the Russian Federation in 2022», SARS exceed the long-term average (SMP) and amount to 29,059.21 cases per 100,000 population in 2022 against SMP 20,753.87 cases, which determines the epidemiological significance of this infection and reflects the urgency of the problem. Only for 2022. In the Russian Federation, 42.4 million cases of acute upper respiratory tract infections of multiple and unspecified localization (ARVI) were registered, the incidence rate was 29,059.21 per 100,000 population, which exceeds the long — term average incidence rate by 40 % (SMP — 20,753.87 per 100,000 population). In comparison with 2021, there was an increase in the incidence of SARS by 10.7 %. In 2022, 29.1 % of the country's population had SARS (2021–26.25 %) [4–9].
