Abstract

Objective To analyze the effects of percutaneous intervention on children with congenital heart disease (CHD). Methods A total of 224 CHD children who were hospitalized in Shanxi Provincial People’s Hospital from February 2006 to February 2017 were selected as research objects, and they were treated by the percutaneous interventional therapy. The clinical efficacy and safety of treatment were observed. Results ① The left atrium diameter (LA), left ventricular end diastolic diameter (LVEDD) and left ventricular end systolic diameter (LVESD) 3 days, 1 month, 1 year after closure of ventricular septal defect were higher than those before the operation (P all 0.05). ③LA, LVEDD, LVESD, SV and CO 3 days, 1 month, 1 year after closure of patent ductus arteriosus were lower than those before operation (P all<0.05); LVEF and FS 1 year after operation were significantly lower than those before operation (P all<0.05). ④SV and CO increased 3 days, 1 month and 1 year after percutaneous balloon pulmonary valvuloplasty were higher than those before operation (P all<0.05); the LVEDD and LVEF 3 days, 1 month after operation were higher than those before operation (P all<0.05); FS 3 days, 1 month after operation were significantly higher than those before operation (P<0.05). The incidence of postoperative complications of the 224 children was 5.36%. Conclusions It is safe and effective to select suitable percutaneous intervention for children with CHD according to patients’ disease classification, and it can significantly improve left ventricular function and cardiac hemodynamics, and the incidence of complications is low. Key words: Percutaneous interventional therapy; Congenital heart disease; Clinical efficacy; Safety
