Abstract

Objective To investigate the application of ultrasound-guided EnCor vacuumassisted biopsy system in resection of breast benign lumps.Methods Clinical pathological data of 216 patients with breast benign lumps who received EnCor vacuum-assisted biopsy in our hospital from July 2009 to March 2011 were analyzed retrospectively.Results Of 216 cass,totally 417 lumps were detected,which were all accurately completely rescted by ultrasound-guided EnCor vacuum-assisted biopsy system.The resection successful rate was 100%.Intraoperative hemorrhage was mild except 44 cases with hemorrhage more than 25 ml,but did not affect the surgical process after vacuum-assisted suction.31 patients had mild skin ecchymosis,which restored after 2 weeks without any treatment.9 patients had large hematoma,which were all cured within one month after fine needle suction and compressive dressing.The surgical scar was not obvious and all the patients had good cosmetic results.No residual lesion or recurrence was found in all patients after a follow-up of 6 months.Conclusion Ultrasound-guided EnCor vacuumassisted biopsy system for resection of breast benign lumps is an effective minimally invasive surgery with few complication and good cosmetic result,which can be widely applied in clinical practice.
