Abstract

Objective To analyze the emergency operation of arteriovenous malformation with intracranial hemorrhage, and thus to provide reference for improving the emergency effect. Methods Thirty-four patients with arteriovenous malformation with intracranial hemorrhage from October 2009 to October 2015 were selected as the research objects. The clinical data, diagnosis and surgical procedures were retrospectively analyzed, and the patients were followed up for 1 to 12 months. Results All the patients were confirmed to had arteriovenous malformation with intracranial hemorrhage. Total resection and partial resection was performed in 19 patients(55.88%) and 15 patients(44.12%), 3 patients(8.82%) died at 7 to 14 d after surgery. Thirty-one patients(91.18%) were followed up for 1 to 12 months. During the follow up period, 1 patient died in complications 1 month after discharge. At the last follow up, the Barthel grading results were as follows: 10 patients(29.41%) of gradeⅠ, 14 patients(41.18%) of gradeⅡ and 10 cases(29.41%) of grade Ⅲ. The curative rate was 70.59%. Conclusions CT, CTA, MRA, DSA and other imaging methods has high diagnostic accuracy in the diagnosis of the arteriovenous malformation with intracranial hemorrhage. Developing a reasonable surgical plan help save the patient’s life and improve the quality of life after surgery.
