Abstract

Objective To evaluate the effect of different treatment to the relax cut after palatorrhaphy to the cleft palate pa-tients. Methods One hundred and forty - eight patients were divided into three groups randomly. The patients were not packed any matter in the relax cut after palatorrhaphy in A group, the patients were packed iodoform gauze in B group, and the patients were packed gelatin sponge in C group. We observed the indexes to these patients including wound bleeding, body temperature,wound healing and subjective reception, and carried out the statistics analysis. Results There was no significant difference in each index between A group and C group(P>0.05). There was no significant difference in the indexes including wound bleed-hag and rima perforation between A group and B group, C group and B group, but there was significant different in the body tem-perature change and wound healing after palatorrhapby between them (P<0.05). The wound healing time in A group and Cgroup was more short than in B group. Conclusion The patients of A group is no difference with the method that the patient was packed some matter in the relax cut and it has some other advamtages including fever is few, subjective reception is good and the wound healing time is short, it deserve to be spreaded.
