Abstract

Objective To summarize the clinical characters and treatment of colocolic intussus ception secondary to colon polyps in children.Methods The clinical data of 12 patients with colocolic intussusceptions secondary to colon polyps,including clinical features,imaging examinations and clinical courses,were retrospectively reviewed.Results All the diagnoses were made based on ultrasonography or CT combined with low-pressure air enema.The colocolic intussusceptions were reduced by low-pressure air enema.Colon polyps were found in the intussusception involved intestine by fibercoloscope in all patients.To remove colon polyps,11 patients were performed surgeries under the fibercoloscope,and 1 underwent open surgery.Conclusions Recurrent colocolic intussusception secondary to colon polyps could be restored spontaneously or by low-pressure air enema.Colon polyps resection is helpful to prevent the recurrence of colocolic intussusceptions.
