Abstract

The climate is one of the main factors of the environment, and its change has a significant impact on the elements of nature. Current and possibly future climate changes are influenced by inert factors, which can be of natural (change in solar radiation, anomalies in the circulation of marine currents, etc.) and anthropogenic origin (increase in the concentration of greenhouse gases) and can be predicted. These changes can be evaluated in the form of trends, which according to the climate theory, are qualified as changes determined (the trend) by inert factors, but with slow action. The highlight of the direction of this trend is usually carried out in long time intervals (30 years). The purpose of this research is to raise awareness among the population, economic agents and decision-makers about climate change, causes, its causes and effects and through concrete examples, to show the impact of this phenomenon on agriculture, the basic branch of the economy of the Republic of Moldova.
