Abstract

AbstractTwo key questions are central to this chapter. First, what are the major causal chains between climate change and violent conflicts in Nigeria? Second, what theories are helpful for the analysis of the links between climate change and violent conflicts in Nigeria? A preliminary review would quickly reveal that there is an extensive body of literature that addresses these questions but there is no clear or unequivocal answer to them.KeywordsClimate ChangeNiger DeltaUnited Nations Development ProgrammeRelative DeprivationEnvironmental SecurityThese keywords were added by machine and not by the authors.
