Abstract

The objective of the study was to determine the influence of the family social climate on the adoption of healthy lifestyles in adolescents from the third to fifth grade of secondary education of the State Educational Institution No. 80824 "José Carlos Mariátegui" of the El Porvenir District of the Province. . from Trujillo. For this purpose, a cross-sectional descriptive-correlational study was carried out. The population was made up of 160 adolescents to whom a structured questionnaire was applied. The Chi square test was used to analyze the study variables. Among the main findings, it was reported that 74.4% of adolescents from the third to fifth grade of secondary education present a nutritious family social climate, while 25.6% of adolescents presented a pathogenic family social climate. Finally, it was determined that the family social climate significantly influences the adoption of healthy lifestyles, life plans, sexual practices and alcohol consumption.
