Abstract

Increases in self-confidence and daily coping capacity were improvements most frequently mentioned by parents receiving child protective services for abuse, neglect, and parent-child conflict. Empathy, genuineness, unconditional positive regard, and accessibility were reasons given by clients for satisfaction with their workers.
