Abstract

This paper outlines an integrated client/server framework for an automated code-checking system. Most previous studies have focused on the processing of design codes for conformance checking. In this work, the writers examine additional issues: the criteria of a building model, the representation of code provisions, the relevance of the provisions with respect to design components, and the encoding of component-based provisions. In this paper, the writers will demonstrate the integration of these issues in the framework in order to develop an effective system to analyze a design for code compliance.
