Abstract

A survey that questioned po lice social workers regarding the protection of client confi dentiality in police settings was done. Several problems were discovered that were re lated to the unique character of the setting and to the iden tification of social workers with the goals and practices of the police. The results raise ques tions about the protection of client confidentiality in other secondary settings.
