Abstract

Objectives: Chloride intracellular channel-4 (CLIC4), regulated by p53 and tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α), is linked to an increase in transforming growth factor-β (TGF-β) and myofibroblastic differentiation in skin carcinogenesis. We analyzed CLIC4, p53, TGF-β, TNF-α, and α-smooth muscle actin (α-SMA) immunoexpression in lip carcinogenesis.
