Abstract

A proposed experiment, CLEO-c, to be performed at Cornell University's Wilson Laboratory, is described. CLEO-c will exploit the physics potential of the CLEO detector and the CESR storage ring operation in the center-of-mass energy range 3 – 5 GeV. With initial data-taking expected to start in early 2003, and a detailed program covering three years of operation, CLEO-c has the potential to revolutionize our understanding of many aspects of strong and weak interaction physics.
