Abstract
This article describes the Lake County (Ohio) Department of Utilities' preventive maintenance program that includes backflow prevention, flushing, and storage tank operation and maintenance. Use of a submersible remote‐operated vehicle is described for cleaning storage tanks. This online cleaning process did a better job, took less time and manpower, and cost less than traditional cleaning methods.
