Abstract
Without any other organic solvents or halide present, direct catalytic oxidation of cyclohexene to adipic acid with hydrogen peroxide catalysed by Na2WO4.2H2O and acidic ionic liquids has been performed with excellent yields and selectivities, and the catalyst system could be easily reused.
