Abstract

The aim of the present paper is the analysis of the steady-state performances of the Permanent-Magnet Claw-Pole Synchronous Generator (PMCPSG). The d-q model of the machine is presented, and the steady-state parameters are identified. An analytical procedure, based on the geometry, winding distribution and materials is used for determining the phase resistance, synchronous inductances corresponding to the d-q axis model and the stator leakage inductance of the machine. The evaluation of the terminal voltage, output power and efficiency as a function of the load current, for the machine feeding a resistive load was also raised.
