Abstract
Several classification systems for spondylolisthesis are used in clinical and research practice. Classification systems help surgeons have a common language, predict prognosis or guide treatment. In this chapter we review the most commonly used systems, the Meyerding, Wiltse, Marchetti and Bartolozzi, and Spinal Deformity Study Group Classifications, to gain better insight on the best way to effectively organize this multifactorial and complex disease process.
