Abstract

A RECENT communication by Lyne1 notes the presence in some adult merino sheep and one Corriedale ewe of “bundles of primary follicles” having a common neck. Lyne points out that these follicles would normally be classed as secondary follicles in counts to determine the ratio S/P and that therefore “some of the published observations on the numbers and ratios of follicle types must be re-interpreted”.
