Abstract

This paper proposes a Kansei design process based on the evaluation grid method to realize a design that satisfies Kansei quality. Especially, this paper focuses on the way to classify users’ needs, which are obtained as a high-level concept in the evaluation structure. The obtained needs are classified based on the factor effects between the satisfaction level of each need and the overall product evaluation. Needs are classified into seven groups which contains Attractive Quality, Must-Be Quality, One-Dimensional Quality, which is based on Kano Model. This paper applies the proposed method to the mouse pad design problem.
