Abstract
Among the primary sources of the xvi century of the conquest of the Indias that currently rest in the Archivo General de las Indias, in south American repositories or in private libraries, I want to highlight the probanzas de meritos y servicios because though there was a kind of usually sources in the study of the conquest of Nuevo Mundo, I consider that is necessary a new study of this kind of documents in order to enlarge and update the comprehension of their classification, structure and utility.

La probanza de Francisco Flores de Bastidas fechada en 1582,45 contiene un interrogatorio inicial[46] y después los testigos aportan toda la información en una única respuesta.[47] Gracias al cuestionario inicial se puede saber sobre que trataran las declaraciones.
