Abstract
A classical treatment of the 'rotor+particle' model is suggested. The classical equations of motion for this model are obtained and their general solution is given. The stationary rotations are studied in detail. Application of the model to the phenomenon of alignment of the angular momentum of 'odd nucleons' along the vector of nuclear velocity is discussed. Comparison with experiment shows good agreement with the theoretical results.
