Abstract
In this chapter, we first cover Halliwell’s combination of histories and timeless approaches. This is the classical precursor of his subsequent combination—covered in Chap. 54—of these with further semiclassical elements, which is a very interesting development at the level of quantum cosmology. This book shows furthermore that emergent semiclassical time can be interpreted as a type of Machian emergent time, which already possesses a close classical analogue as detailed in Chaps. 14 and 23.
