Abstract

We compute the contribution of classical fields to the second Fourier coefficient ( v 2) of the azimuthal gluon distribution at large transverse momentum in heavy ion collisions. We find that the classical contribution to the flow alone cannot account for the experimentally observed behavior of v 2( p t ) at large transverse momentum p t .
