Abstract
Current article reviews the problem of developing the class assignments for the elementary school student in the conditions of historical and modern education. It defines requirements for the assignment as a component of a learning activity of an elementary school student. The special emphasis is placed on the quality of class assignments and their multifunctionality that provides complex solutions to the different tasks related to the formation of anticipated results, especially of the metadisciplinary nature. The author substantiates the specifications and the organization of the educational assignment in the elementary school Russian Language class that allow elementary school students to form cognitive, regulative and communicative universal learning activities, as well as supplies rationale for the compilation of the effective language material that helps teacher to form linguistic items in elementary school students while maintaining increased awareness level.
