Abstract
• Cirrhinus mrigala scavenger receptor (CmSRA5) was identified and characterized. • CmSRA5 showed strong binding ability with the lipid A component of bacterial LPS. • mRNA expression of CmSRA5 in the early developmental stages of C. mrigala was reported. • CmSRA5 mRNA expression levels in the different tissues were significantly induced in response to the A. hydrophila challenge.
