Abstract
A voltage and current calibrator with ranges from 1 to 600 V and from 10 mA to 10 A has been designed for testing class 0.5 instruments at audio frequencies. The calibrator efficiency is nearly equal to the efficiency of dc calibrators [4]. The calibrator accuracy can be increased if a reduction of the testing rate is acceptable. In such a case, preliminary correction of the thermal emf before each measurement make the calibrator nearly as accurate as calibrators based on the nonsimultaneous comparison principle [1].
