Abstract

Although 3 hyaluronic acid preparations are commercially available for treating osteoarthritis, there is still considerable uncertainty regarding the optimal use of this therapy. A discussion of trials conducted to date, and the results of 2 new placebo-controlled studies, were discussed at a Seikagaku-sponsored satellite symposium during the 8th Asia-Pacific League Against Rheumatism Congress [Melbourne, Australia; April 1996].
