Abstract

In our article on recovery housing in a recent issue (see “Recovery housing: Where is it?,” ADAW, Jan. 24; https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/adaw.33319), there was a confusing sentence referring to confidentiality of substance use disorder (SUD) treatment. There is no “end of patient consent” for release of information — at this time. The initial disclosure is still protected. It's what happens afterward that is in question. Thanks to the Legal Action Center for this clarification.
