Abstract
British Columbia Provincial Museum (BCPM) 712 from Sooke, British Columbia, and BCPM uncatalogued from Cobble Hill, British Columbia, are shown to have been incorrectly referred to as Mammuthus. The molars are found to have come from Loxodonta africana and Elephas indicus respectively.
