Abstract

Objective: The severly calcified so called porcelain aorta represent one of the most dangerous and challenging finding in patients requiring coronary bypass surgery. Several techniques and technologies were invented to handle this potentially lethal disease. We report on our initial experience with the PAS-Port® automated proximal clampless anastomotic device (Cardica, Inc.), especially focusing on this patients.
