Abstract

Intravenous iron is essential in the ongoing management of chronic kidney disease related anaemia and is increasingly being administered to patients in community settings. In this article, Samantha Timmins explains how the renal anaemia service at the Royal Devon and Exeter NHS Foundation Trust has overcome barriers to provide an efficient intravenous iron service for outpatients.
