Abstract

In the development of nuclear, a gas entrainment phenomenon generates, cavitations of mercury damages a container. Therefore numerical analysis plays an important rule in the engineering problem. However, it is very difficult to analyze various kinds of phenomena in the engineering problem because it contains problems such as complicated geometries, multiphase flow, free surface, phase change and turbulence. So we adopt the advanced CFD techniques such as CIVA and C-CUP methods. In this paper we verified to simulate impact behavior of mercury droplet and gas entrainment phenomenon at free surface.
