Abstract

Cities offer social spaces that can serve as contexts for the development of everyday creativity. One of these spaces can be museums. Cities, museums and creativity crisscross in The Night of the Museums: an international event that takes place in different cities in order to reach old and new audiences. The paper presents an exploratory study of public conducted with 37 subjects who participated in the night of museums in a city from Argentina. The aim was to identify perspectives, motivations and ratings of participants in relation with the experiencie. For data collection a self-reported questionnaire was used. The results allowed to meet with people who attend the event, what their motivations are and what aspects are valued experience, among others. Night of Museums is an occasion for creativity, an initiative that links to museums with society.
