Abstract

The Congress City, territory and landscape, a multidisciplinary approach, took place during the Mai 5, 6 and 7 2010 in the Centro de Ciencias Humanas y Sociales of the Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Cientificas (Madrid). The Congress had been organized by D. Carlos Cornejo Nieto, del Departamento de Geografia de la Universidad Autonoma de Madrid, D. Juan Moran Saez, of the Departamento de Geografia Humana of the Universidad Complutense de Madrid and D. Jose Prada Trigo, of the Instituto de Economia, Geografia y Demografia del Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Cientificas. The Congress was a meeting point for the lecture, the debate and the reflection for more of 120 people as lecturers, communicators or listeners. The participants were from several disciplinary fields as Geography, Architecture, Sociology, HIstory of Art, HIstory, Philology or Urbanism. The three parts of the Congress were interlinked each other but with its differentiated characteristics. Also it was realized a short trip to the Plan de Actuacion Urbana (PAU) de Sanchinarro, near to Madrid. The items more importants of the Congress were related with the globalization, the global economic dynamics and its effects on cities, territories and landscapes, as well as the places identity in its context.
