Abstract

AbstractCover crops can provide numerous benefits such as protection from the vagaries of extreme weather, improved water filtration, improved soil organic matter and nutrient retention, and reduction of weeds. They’re common in row crops but not as much in citrus. Some researchers think they should be. This article will highlight some of the benefits and challenges of cover crops in citrus and how to use them.
