Abstract

Fruit propagation is the art and science of the multiplication of plants. Both sexual and asexual methods are employed for the propagation of different fruit plants. Some fruits can be planted in the orchard as seedlings (raised from seeds). In others, asexual propagation is necessary to get uniform and precocious plants. It will be in the interest of the grower to plant in advance and prepare their own planting material of high quality for their orchard. This can only be done if growers plan their orchard plantation 2 years ahead of planting. One can raise their own nursery for raising vigorous precocious and high-quality planting material. In this chapter, we will discuss citrus nursery propagation.
