Abstract
Abstract An AOAC collaborative study of a new direct method for available P2O5 in fertilizer was conducted last year. Results on a monoammonium phosphate sample showed more variability than other sample types, and the sample also had the largest absolute difference among 3 methods (960.02,960.03, and a new direct method). Problems with the AOAC method for citrate insoluble P2O5 were discovered, and an editorial change in the method is recommended.
