Abstract

The structure of cis-PdCl 2 (dcpe), where dcpe is 1,2-bis(dicyclohexylphosphino)ethane, [PdCl 2 (C 26 H 48 P 2 )], consists of an approximately square planar Pd II ion coordinated by a chelating dcpe ligand and two Cl - ions. The coordination sphere of the Pd shows a slight tetrahedral distortion. A significant trans influence of the dcpe ligand on the Pd-Cl distances is evident
