Abstract

Introduction: Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) develops almost invariably on a chronic liver disease characterized by persistent inflammation and several evidences suggest that prostaglandins are involved in tumor growth. Monoacylglycerol lipase (MAGL), Cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) and Prostaglandin E2 (PGE2) proved to promote tumor growth, inhibit apoptosis and enhance cell proliferation and invasion.
