Abstract

Circularly polarized split ring slotted array on the broad wall of the WR3 waveguide for 6G Communication is presented in this paper. Circular polarization is manifested by using split ring slot array on the waveguide. The proposed antenna covers a -10 dB impedance bandwidth of 81 GHz extending from 230 GHz to 311 GHz roofing the WM864 band with a maximum gain of 15.3 dBi. The proposed antenna possesses a wide 3 dB axial ratio bandwidth of 35.71 GHz spanning from 251.72 GHz to 287.51 GHz. The enhancement in the gain, to a particular extent, is achieved by increasing the number of slots on the broad wall of the WR3 waveguide. Beam forming is accomplished with a scan of 24° by altering the dimension of each split ring slot. All simulations are done in the CST microwave suite and the results are validated in HFSS software.
